Get quick answers to the most commonly asked questions to IDN!

Will I get CEU's for the NRT course?

The NRT course is approved through several state and national boards. Please visit the NRT CEU page to see if the course is approved for your profession and state.

Do I need to bring tools with me to the course?

All necessary equipment will be provided at the course. If you have your own tools you’d like to practice with you are encouraged to bring your own.

Will I be able to buy tools at the course?

There will be a limited supply of cupping and instrument assisted massage tools available for purchase at the course. We recommend you pre-buy your tools to make sure they are available for you after the course. After registering for the course, you will receive a link for 10% discounts on all Hyperice products!

How should I dress for the course?

The NRT course treats all four extremities and the spine so please wear loose fitting clothing that will allow access to all areas of the body.

What is the NRT course Cancellation Policy?

If you need to cancel your course registration two weeks or more before the start of the course, your registration fee will be refunded minus a 6% administrative fee secondary to transaction fees that we incur. OR you can transfer your registration to another course at no additional fee as long as the other course is within a 6-month time frame from the date of the original course for which you registered.

What are the NRT course attendance requirements?

You must be a licensed healthcare professional in good standing (PT, PTA, LMT, OT, OTA, MD, DO, DC, ATC or NP) that has anatomy training and the ability to treat with manual therapy or massage therapy (within your scope of practice) to attend an NRT Course.

Other professions ( ex. Strength Coaches, Personal Trainers, Reiki practitioners, body work therapists) are not currently eligible to attend NRT courses.

We require each participant to read our NRT pre-course manual that is designed to provide background information, theory and references to prepare them for the course.

I have been to other manual therapy courses, why would I take this one?

Many traditional manual therapy courses focus on tissue manipulation. While often effective, NRT focuses on the neurologic responses to manual therapy. Applying our neurologic principles will elevate your understanding of the assessment and management of pain while also improving physical performance.

Will there by any dry needling at this course?

No. We will not be doing any needling at this course. At our roots we are a dry needling company and we will spend some time discussing how to integrate the tools with other treatment modalities, which will include dry needling.

Do I get a certification after this course?

After this course you will be trained in the NRT model. You will receive a certificate of completion showing the CEU's you earned for completing the course. Your NRT badge will appear on your profile in the Practitioner Directory for potential clients to seek out your care. We will be developing an additional course for certification.
