Leigh is a physical therapist primarily located at a hospital-based, outpatient, orthopedic clinic. She is also an as-needed therapist at a private clinic in Akron, OH. She specializes in performing arts medicine and high-level manual therapy, including visceral manipulation, the Myokinesthetic System, and vocal cord massage, as well as more traditional myofascial release techniques. Although she enjoys treating people of all conditions and ages, she has a particular passion for performing artists, including dancers, aerialists, and musicians. Leigh is an active member of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association's Northeast district, as well as the chair of the OPTA's Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Committee. She also participates in the Foot and Ankle and Performing Arts Special Interest Groups of the Academy of Orthopedic PT, and is a member of the Research Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science and the Academy of Prevention and Health Promotion Therapies.
