About Me
Jennifer Kollmar is a graduate of Touro College in 2009 with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. She was hired at Peak Performance Physical Therapy in New York and was assigned as a staff Physical Therapist. She treated outpatient orthopedic patients to include post/ops, sprains, strains and over use injuries.
In 2011 She received a commission in the U. S. Navy as a Lieutenant. Her first assignment was at Bethesda, Maryland, what is now called Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, assigned as a staff Physical Therapist. Her Patients included active duty military, veterans, retirees, their spouses and children. She also involved in the care and treatment of returning wounded warriors from the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
In the summer of 2013, she was selected to open a brand new Physical Therapy department in Sasebo Japan from scratch. Assigned as the sole Physical Therapist on the base, she and her staff were responsible for the care and treatment of 25,000 personnel assigned to the U.S. Navy fleet, which consisted of 12 Naval Ships, 26 supporting commands and base personnel.
After a successful tour in Japan, she received orders in 2015 to the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, stationed in Norfolk Virginia. Assigned as the sole staff Physical Therapist for the 5,000 Sailors assigned to the ship. She spent 2 years on the aircraft carrier and completed a 7-month deployment to the Arabian Gulf.
Doctor Kollmar separated from the U.S. Navy in August 2017 and worked at Bosque River Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, until joining Well Done Physical Therapy. She is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling, is now trained in Integrative Dry Needling, working towards her full certification and has attended the Colonel Douglas A. Kersey Advanced Clinical and Operational Practice Course in San Antonio, Texas; which specializes her in operational physical therapy. With her passion for golf, she is also Titleist Performance Institute Certified Level 1. This allows her to combine her knowledge of human anatomy and the biomechanics involved in the body-swing connection to improve player performance. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience treating and diagnosing outpatient Physical Therapy patients and is excited to be in Waco, Texas providing care and treatment to the surrounding areas.
