You must be a licensed healthcare professional in good standing (PT, PTA, LMT, OT, OTA, MD, DO, DC, ATC or NP) that has anatomy training and the ability to treat with manual therapy or massage therapy (within your scope of practice) to attend an NRT Course.
Other professions ( ex. Strength Coaches, Personal Trainers, Reiki practitioners, body work therapists) are not currently eligible to attend NRT courses.
We require each participant to read our NRT pre-course manual that is designed to provide background information, theory and references to prepare them for the course.
Many traditional manual therapy courses focus on tissue manipulation. While often effective, NRT focuses on the neurologic responses to manual therapy. Applying our neurologic principles will elevate your understanding of the assessment and management of pain while also improving physical performance.
No. We will not be doing any needling at this course. At our roots we are a dry needling company and we will spend some time discussing how to integrate the tools with other treatment modalities, which will include dry needling.
After this course you will be trained in the NRT model. You will receive a certificate of completion showing the CEU's you earned for completing the course. Your NRT badge will appear on your profile in the Practitioner Directory for potential clients to seek out your care. We will be developing an additional course for certification.
