Program Overview

The CIDN-UE certification is a specialized pathway for practitioners who focus on upper extremity treatment. This is not a traditional course but rather a comprehensive certification process that validates your clinical expertise in integrative dry needling for the upper extremity and hand.

How It Works

This certification pathway is fully practice-based and conducted 100% remotely. You’ll begin with the Upper Extremity & Hand Course, then put your skills into practice through 90 days of clinical work with documented treatments. To complete the process, you’ll demonstrate your expertise by submitting written case studies, creating a technique video with rationale, and delivering a live Zoom presentation for expert review and discussion.

CERTIFICATION AWARD

Upon successful completion of all requirements (required documentation), candidates will receive an official Certification in Integrative Dry Needling – Upper Extremity (CIDN-UE). This certification recognizes your advanced expertise in specialized dry needling techniques for upper extremity and hand conditions.

Clinical Practice Requirement

Complete a minimum of 90 days of clinical practice following successful completion of the Upper Extremity and Hand IDN course. You must complete and document a minimum of 30 patient treatments using the provided documentation spreadsheet.

Case Study Submissions

Submit four (4) comprehensive upper extremity/hand dry needling case studies in written format. One of these cases will also require a video demonstration. Each written case study must include all components specified in the patient treatment form.

Video Demonstration

Create a detailed step-by-step demonstration of your dry needling techniques with verbal explanation of procedures and justification for point selection.

Your video must include:

Live Case Presentation

Participate in a 60-minute live Zoom session with IDN experts where you'll present your video demonstration case study in detail.

Professional Discussion Questions

Demonstrate your expertise and professional development by addressing comprehensive discussion questions that assess various aspects of your practice.
