Hey Gang,

Any of you had success with needling the Achilles for chronic Achilles tendinopathy? Any guidelines you followed, e-stim, etc? I couldn't find literature to support...yet!

Hi Chris,

Sorry I missed this one and yes there is a ton of research using DN with and without MSKUS showing a change from a hypo echoic looking tendon (dysfunction) and restoring the normal patterning and structure of the tendon. We have a course that assesses and specifically needles tendinopathy in the major joints in the body. The research is compelling and even compares DN to cortisone ind and PRP.
