Has anyone tried DN for chronic biceps tendinosis (about 4 years)?  I just did DN into the bicep muscle bellies, and pectoralis major, and deep radial homeostatic point today.  Let me know if anyone has a success story.  Thanks!

I have treated a few cases.

I think the keyword here is CHRONIC, meaning there is probably a central component to their pain and dysfunction at this time. So I think it's great you incorporated some homeostatic points to target central processing.

I recommend assessing the homeostatics in the region that associate with the biceps injury, 360 degrees. Check suprascapular, lateral antebrachial cuteanous (branch of musculocutaneous), lateral pectoral, and deep radial. Treat what you find.

Then consider the paravertebral involvement to get your segmental affects of needling. The biceps are innervated by the musculocutaneous nerve C5-C7

Finally, locally, I love that you treated biceps, but if it's a true tendinopathy, needle the tendon! There is a lot of research on tendon needling and it's benefits!

Of course follow up with good dietary recommendations/isometrics/eccentrics exercise.

Let me know how it goes!
