Hi Anne! If you search within the forum, we have many posts on dry needling and Bells Palsy. I encourage you to do a search to see our various answers. I use dry needling with patients throughout the healing journey, immediately after onset and weeks/months down the road. In our advanced class, we teach the facial nerve distribution needling. For a foundations-trained student, I would look at the trigeminal nerve distribution, symptomatic points within the facial muscles (bilaterally secondary to compensation), and then the cervical spine homeostatic/paravertebral/symptomatic points as they are relevant in within your assessment. Thank you!
