Dr. Tweedt was an Exercise Physiology Major at California State University Chico, and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Human Biology. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (now, Southern California University of Health Sciences). Dr. Tweedt became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 1996, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 1999. He was an accomplished distance runner in high school (All-League Honors), and in college as a cross country runner and 10,000 meter runner in track. It was during this time that he got injured and became interested in sports medicine. Realizing what it meant to be “out of commission” as an athlete, he decided “this is what I want to do. I want to help athletes recover from their injuries.” This became his mission. When not at work, Dr. Tweedt enjoys outdoor activities as well as cherished time with his family.
