Nick is a 2012 Ohio Northern University Graduate (cum laude) with a major in Athletic Training and a minor in Exercise Physiology; and a 2015 Youngstown State University graduate with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He has spent the past three years as the Head Athletic Trainer at West Branch High School while also acting as a preceptor for the University of Mount Union Athletic Training Program for two years. Nick has also presented CEU courses for Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, and Physical Therapy Assistants on Head and Neck Injuries as well presented original research at the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association Annual conference. During his secondary education, Nick was a 4 year letterman for the Ohio Northern University Wrestling Team while earning Academic All-American Honors. While pursuing his DPT at YSU, Nick attended numerous conferences including annual meetings in Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN; and Las Vegas, NV. Professionally, Nick has been a member of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association (OPTA), American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT), National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), and Ohio Athletic Trainer Association (OATA). Nick’s areas of interest in physical therapy include manual therapy, original research, and sports rehabilitation with an orthopedic focus. Nick also has two years experience working with children with physical and mental developmental disabilities as a one-on-one aide for the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Nick plans on being certified in the practice of Integrated Dry Needing by January of 2016.
