Dan earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from NAU in 2007 and received his Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Arizona in 1999 (Summa Cum Laude). He is a Southern Arizona native and he and his wife Christine have lived in Flagstaff for the last 5 years. In 1994 he graduated from the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, AZ with a Certificate in Massage Therapy and has been a self-employed licensed Massage Therapist in Arizona for over 20 years. Dan formally began his training in 1991, following a tour of military service, while volunteering at the Downtown YMCA in Tucson, Arizona. Since then, he has been working in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer, fitness professional and manual therapist.He continues to advance his knowledge and understanding of the human body as it relates to movement and overall health and is a dedicated healthcare professional.Dan holds professional certification and membership with the "gold standard" credentialing associations and boards in the country for Physical Therapy (APTA), Massage Therapy (AMTA), physical conditioning (ACE, CSCS) and bodywork (NCTMB). Dan enjoys being physically active and teaching. He is an avid mountain biker, hiker and camper. When he is not doing something outdoors, he has fun building bikes and playing with computers in his spare time.
