The Shoulder: The Most Mobile & Vulnerable Joint

The Shoulder: A complex joint, but one of the most commonly requested exams in MSK sonography.  The goal for this unit is to learn a systematic scanning protocol that quickly and accurately evaluates the most common shoulder pathologies. 

This video reviews Biceps Tendon at the bicipital groove and distally near the Pec Major Tendon. Subscapularis Tendon imaging is the first of several dynamic views in the shoulder protocol. Please be sure to take notes and review as needed.

This video presents the Supraspinatus Tendon and Rotator Cuff Interval anatomy and function. The concept of MSK rotator cuff imaging being considered dynamic and an advantage over standard MRI imaging is discussed. Please be sure to take notes and review as needed.
