Any precautions or advice when treating spondylolisthesis with dry needling? What about adding the e-stim to stimulate the multifidus at that level?
When in doubt anywhere in the spine, be certain of your palpation of bony landmarks (spinous processes and transverse processes), shorten the needle if there is any doubt about the integrity of the lamina in the area you plan to treat.
Definitely agree with Sonya, but may also depend on precaution what grade the spondy is. This also may be where you want to put a bolster/pillow under the hips to flex them to stabilize any movement. I would not think is have a QST score estim would not be a problem.
