Hi,
I recently took the foundation course and the psoas and QL are only covered in the advanced course…which I plan to take. I forgot to ask the instructor based on what we learned in the foundation course what points are the best for needling this area? Besides iliopsoas distal insertion and L1-L4, and possibly T12 what else would you suggest? Thanks!
Heather
You are correct that muscle belly needling of psoas and QL are not taught in our Foundation course, safe needling approaches are taught for these muscle bellies in our Advanced course.
In addition to your suggested needle placements of: T12, and L1-4 paravertebrals, and the distal insertions, I would suggest also posterior cutaneous of L5, and superior cluneals.
Not sure which course is right for you? No problem – we created an intuitive process to help!
