Protocol DN – Certified Athletic Trainers

      I just recently completed the course in Memphis and I am a Certified Athletic Trainer at a Division 1 institution. I learned a ton and really enjoyed the course, before I really get going with DN in the ATR I would like to have a protocol/policy in place. If any ATCs out there would be willing to share what you are utilizing or what you have in your policy/procedure manuals that would be greatly appreciated. My email address is beardsjm@miamioh.edu

        This is a pretty common question. We have several universities using IDN. I am not sure what they are using in addition to or different from the policy and procedure we provide. Let us know what you find.

          I know the University of Vermont Athletic Medicine team used IDN. Try reaching out to Allison Shepherd (allison.shepherd@uvm.edu) she recently completed her CIDN with us.
          Do keep us posted on what you learn and what ends up working for your organisation.
