Hello,
I am hearing from colleagues that taking anti-inflammatories reduces the effectiveness of dry needling. However, I have not been able to find any research that demonstrates. Can you provide your opinion or research that suggests that taking anti-inflammatories reduces the effectiveness of dry needling?
I do not know of research to address this specific topic but DN is a great anti-inflammatory especially for acute conditions. I do try to wean patients off of NSAIDS (if physician prescribed need to work in conjunction) as our treatment can provide better long term relief. Of course I am speaking generally since each condition is different.
Not sure which course is right for you? No problem – we created an intuitive process to help!
