    Yes, i have been treating Bell’s Palsy for years and results are honestly mixed. We go over needling of the facial nerve in the Advanced course with the goal of reducing neurogenic inflammation. This is the key factor peripherally for PT treatment; The physicians are trying to do the same with the steroids they prescribe as well as the anti-viral meds. The earlier the patient is seen at onset by all professionals, the better the end result. Bells becomes a compressional issue of the facial nerve as it exits the styloidmastoid foramen and this is where we focus the needling. There has not been a study of the results of DN with BP that I am aware of.
