    Obviously the patient has to want to try needling. You never want to force someone to do it but if they want to do it i would try it. I would try prone and then start with a thin, 1/2 inch needle somewhere were you are confident it won’t hurt. Just do a few of those day one. You are really just looking to reduce their anxiety to the process on day one. Once they know they are going to be okay with it then you can progress as tolerated In future visits. Less is more early.

    As far as time between visits it varies based on tolerance to needling, QA score etc, dosage etc. but every other day is usually tolerated quite well for most people. Some people with less healing potential may need more time.
