
Payton Jensen serves as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Mississippi State men's and women's tennis.
He attended MSU from 2017-19 as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with men's tennis. During that time, Jensen earned his M.S. in Exercise Physiology, graduating in May of 2019. Prior to MSU, he attended Illinois State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, graduating in 2017.
Before joining the staff at Mississippi State in June 2019, Jensen worked as a summer intern for Virginia Tech men's basketball in 2018 and Arizona State University football in 2016.
In addition to being a Certified Athletic Trainer, Jensen is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist while participating as an active member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
A native of Ottawa, Illinois, he now currently resides in Starkville, MS with his wife Marissa, and dog Magnolia. Living in Mississippi does not prevent him from supporting his favorite NFL team, the Chicago Bears!
