Dr. Vonderhaar began her career as a personal trainer and fitness instructor while pursuing her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at the University of Dayton. She continued her studies at the University of Dayton in Physical Therapy school with research endeavors focused on manual therapy for the hypermobile patient population and vestibular rehabilitation. During physical therapy school, Dr. Vonderhaar also traveled to China to experience Eastern Medicine at Nanjing Medical University. She then graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. Dr. Vonderhaar joined the Active Physical Therapy team in 2013 then became owner in 2016, operating 3 Columbus locations. In 2019, Dr. Vonderhaar started Vonderhaar Physical Therapy where she continues to practice today. She specializes in treatment of the fitness athlete, pregnant and postpartum athlete's, as well as spine, jaw, and vestibular dysfunctions. Dr. Vonderhaar has advanced training in Trigger Point Dry Needling and Manual Therapy techniques including joint manipulation, mobilization, and muscle energy. She is a Certified Clinical Instructor through the APTA for future Physical Therapists. Dr. Vonderhaar is originally from Akron, Ohio. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, Crossfit, hiking, and practicing yoga.
