Since completing my Masters in Physical Therapy and licensure, I have been working primarily in a orthopedic outpatient and sports medicine environment, with additional exposure to skilled nursing PRN. My post graduate studies/development has been manual focused. I have become a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), adding joint mobilizations and manipulations as treatment to various conditions. I am certified in the Graston technique, using instruments to assist with soft tissue mobilization. I have also been certified in dry needling through Dr Ma’s Integrative Dry Needling with additional training through Kinetacore’s Functional Dry Needling.
In 2012, I became board certified through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). I am also certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and the Y Balance Test. In addition to Physical Therapy, I bring a background in strength and conditioning supported by a Masters in Exercise Physiology. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
My philosophy toward therapy is a holistic approach. I believe that treating the body as whole will yield greater results.
