<p>Great question...yes! Dry needling can help your patient. Consider the abdominal needling you learned in the Foundations course, as well as the thoracic paraspinals and key lumbar H points and paraspinals. In addition, you want to consider working on lumbo-pelvic positioning and recruiting the deep stabilizers instead of the rectus abdominus muscles. There are some good kinesiotape techniques that compliment the dry needling as well. With the IDN approach, remember the 360' approach and consider what innervates the area you're trying to impact and that will assist in directing your needling. </p>
<p>You may want to consider taking the Lumbopelvic Clinical Integration course as well. We go through several techniques that have a great impact on the lumbo-abdominal region!</p>
