He looks like a clear SCM so I would needle both either AP or PA especially -if palpation reproduces the familiar symptoms. Give that a try first

I recently started treating a patient who has been dealing with tension headaches for the past 10 years but has worsened a year ago. Also get occasional neck pain. He has been taking 50 mg of propranolol which is not really helping. He is also on prozac.

The headache is mostly on his forehead and when it is bad he also feels it on top of his head. His first session I dry needled supraorbital and infraorbital with no e-stim. I also needled levator scap, suboccipitals, greater occipitals HNTrP with e-stim for 10 minutes. He didn't get any relief from the first session.

My question is, can I do e-stim for the supraorbital and infraorbital HNTrPs? If so at what setting?
