Author: Matthew
Having practiced as a physical therapist since graduating from Grand Valley State University in 1998 with a Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and obtaining Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 2008, Matt has treated thousands of patients. Over these years he found that certain patients did not respond to mechanical therapy. He became certified in Integrative Dry Needling in 2017 and has found a successful avenue for treating patients with chronic centrally sensitized pain. In addition, he has found even broader application for dry needling to assist in the recovery of patients with other orthopedic diagnoses. Matt thoroughly enjoys the profession finding that physical therapists are not merely “body mechanics”. Each encounter with a patient puts us face to face with a child of God and thus treatment is not only directed at the body, but the person’s spirit and soul.
