I have been a manual therapist for over 30 years. Dry needling has change the way I evaluate and approach problems. I have faster and better results than before even with the most difficult patients. My patients love results and it is extremely satisfying professionally
This course changed the way I treat very difficult patients, the ones with chronic pain who almost give up. I get patients who are fearful of needling after painful trigger point dry needling but after one treatment using Dr. Ma’s technique can’t get enough! The new information on microcirculation will change your practice and the way we understand pain/inflammation forever”
What I learned at the Advanced course brought joy back into treating patients. Many of them have been through years of treatment with no real results, it is different now. So exiting to see they getting better and better.
Course instructor not only answering each and every question, but truly going beyond simple answer to insure complete understanding. IDN changed my practice in very positive way, I especially love the fact that all teaching is positive – never a negative thing spoken about any other courses. This is profound professionalism!
The Advanced Integrative Dry Needling course has helped me visualize the body in 3-D ,has drastically changed how I evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries. In Short – this course revolutionized my practice and made me exited about treating patients
Excellent course. Frank does an excellent job relating the information on everyone’s level, I would recommend this course to everyone interested in dry needling
Frank is an excellent speaker; I was very excited about dry needling for the quick results. We learned a lot in three days. Thank you Frank!
Fantastic course! It’s very exciting to bring back fabulous new tools to the clinic that have immediate application to treat nearly everything we see. Thank you Dr. Frank!
This course was great! I really enjoyed the integrated, neurological ideology behind the coursework. It really help me bring everything together and helping me translate the techniques to the clinic.
After taking this course I feel comfortable and confident in the IDN technique. Frank and Dave were excellent, engaging in well-informed instructors who made the course enjoyable and rapid moving. This is one of those excellent courses that I can start using the techniques on Monday knowing I can comfortably and confidently treat my patients.
The material is presented clearly and in different formats so that you can feel confident implementing needling into treatment plans following the course
I truly feel that Dry Needling modality is going to become a strength of mine and help separate me from other practitioners as a leader and a pioneer in my field
The integrative dry needling approach is a must for anyone wishing to become a proficient, effective, and efficient clinician providing dry needling. Dr. Ma’s method covers all the bases and the clinician is able to apply the IDN techniques in the clinical setting with confidence immediately following completion of the course. Frank Gargano is a trusted friend and colleague who brings along his expertise and experience to provide quality instruction in a relaxed and informative atmosphere.
Utilizing methods taught by one of my mentors, Dr. Yun-Tao Ma, Frank has been able to establish himself as a valuable asset to any clinician wishing to provide the best care to their patients. Several techniques are discussed and practiced in the course but the one that stands out the most is the painless technique. In other courses that I have attended over the years this technique is not even discussed but it is one that I have found to be the most valuable in regards to patient tolerance and treatment outcomes. It helps to ease the patient’s apprehension, thereby allowing them the ability to remain relaxed during the treatment. In my experience, this is an essential key to the process of relieving pain and restoring a patient’s function.
This course should be mandatory in all DPT + DC schools. I’ll be using dry needling in 90% of my patients
In 21 years of physical therapy practice, I have used a wide variety of techniques and modalities. Integrative dry needling as developed by Dr. Ma has proven to be a most valuable treatment tool to quickly relieve pain and improve mobility in my patients. Integrative Dry Needling complements manual therapies and exercise, allowing me to successfully treat pain problems with a systems strategy. It is well-tolerated by my patients and is supported by an extensive evidence base. It also has the enormous advantage of using a predictable outcome assessment, to quickly determine which patients have the most potential to benefit. I highly recommend this course!
I am pleased to recommend Dr. Yun-tao Ma’s approach to dry needling after being instructed by him. Raised in China and completing his doctorates in the United States, he has developed an approach to dry needling which makes logical sense for western health care in the application of evidence-based practice. In my outpatient physical therapy practice I find dry needling particularly helpful in sports injuries, and when treating symptom-dominant patients. I am a manual therapist, but when I cannot apply manual therapy due to painful conditions dry needling has provided effective treatment to progress rehabilitation to the stage where effective manual therapy can be applied.
Having taken multiple courses in dry needling, the IDN method Frank provides simplifies my existing skill set to improve my effectiveness with chronic painful conditions. I’ve taken many courses with Frank and he never fails to provide simple, effective teaching methodologies to allow me to immediately apply what I learned from him.
Frank has an incredible ability to put people at ease. His ability to convey confidence and teach the skill of needling is amazing. The environment he creates when he teaches is one of relaxation and respect. His knowledge of anatomy and clinical reasoning makes for an enjoyable course
I really enjoyed Frank’s interpretation and demeanor on the topic- very soothing and helped with my comfort level. I also enjoyed the concept of thinking in terms of the neuro- connections to an injury state not just local tissue trauma
What I really appreciate about this course is learning IDN for the entire body in one class. I feel ready to treat patients with dry needling on day one
