I greatly enjoyed the systematic approach to needling. Nick does a phenomenal job and the layout and execution of the course was excellent. We learned more immediately applicable concepts and techniques in this 27 hour course than in the 200 hour course I took to obtain my post-doc acupuncture license!
A female patient (64yrs old) with severe spasms in the right anterior hip has been coming to me for chiropractic treatment, manual therapy and traction of the hip (14 visits). We had been getting mediocre results, and she has still been getting spasms from a seated to a rising position. After I became certified with dry needling she was my second patient that I treated with dry needling. She has been responding absolutely amazing to treatments. Before dry needling she was considering a hip replacement due to the severe spasms. She has received 11 treatments (of dry needling) and she has not had any spasms in her hip for almost 2 months! Before treatment she had spasms multiple times a day every day and the spasms would wake her up when she turned in her sleep. Thank you again for the outstanding training through IDN!
As a kinesthetic learner, I really liked the practical hands on lab time both as the patient and the practitioner. Its important to experience the treatment you are applying and have access to different patient presentations and body types. IDN lab time is well planned and longer compared to other course.
One of the very few courses that has been extremely informative, engaging, and captivating for all three days.
Great course which aligns well with my philosophy of treatment interacting with a patients nervous system. I have experience with other dry needling curricula and this will likely become my foundation of clinical application.
Great instruction and in depth education with emphasis on safety and patient comfort. I feel very comfortable with needle handling and brining my new skills into patient care.
Great course for any physical therapist wanting to begin dry needling in their practice. Very informative and thorough with lots of practical lab time spent dry needling.
The integration of central and peripheral sensitization with current anatomy and neurology is not only relevant, it is crucial for wholistic physical therapy practice. It was clear and easily understood at this course.
I have transverse myelitis and have had decreased to zero sensation to touch on my left lower extremity, trunk and upper extremities. During this class I received needling to my C5-C6 region and my left side felt hot for a few seconds and then I had sensation to touch. Brought me too tears! The knowledge of the instructors is excellent!
I really enjoyed the IDN course and learned information and techniques that will benefit my patients throughout my career as a PT. Fantastic course.
The course and the instructors is/were very well prepared and organized. Information was based on research but also included appropriate clinical experience.
The instructors were amazing. Not only their level of knowledge, but their clinical experience, ability to make it a care free, yet learning environment and give great knowledge. I am very happy I chose this course over others!
I would like to thank both Nick and Sonya for providing excellent and understandable information in a very systematic approach. Their labs were phenomenal and easy to follow. Sonya significantly helped my T7-8 that has been stuck for 30 years plus! Thank you so much.
This has been the best course I have been to in a long time. Frank and his team are extremely knowledgable and the course teaches a very practical approach to dry needling that can be introduced on Monday after class.
Fantastic course. Instructor was very knowledgable, approachable and helpful. Teaches you how to address the “bigger picture” instead of particular conditions.
Great course. Excellent lab, presentation, and experience. Dr. Gargano teaches you to provide this treatment safely and effectively.
Course material was entirely new but I did not feel overwhelmed or lost. The course guidebook and presentation were clear and well organized. The material connected the therapeutic measures to anatomy and physiology making it easier to understand the clinical relevance and feel comfortable in adding it to practice.
Very useful clinical application. I could help but think about patients that I have that would benefit from all the techniques taught.
Well prepared and excellent course. After 33 years in practice its nice to see the philosophy of healthcare professionalism working together for the patient.
Overall this has been a great seminar. Good amount of information, but was taught in a very practical way. Frank and his team were knowledgeable and helpful.
